The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a free, confidential service administered by ComPsych Guidance Resources that provides short-term counseling services to eligible employees and their families to help address personal and work-life issues.
You do not have to enroll in a medical plan to participate in the EAP. However, if you are enrolled in a medical plan, you may be able to maximize your benefits by accessing the free services of the EAP before using behavioral health benefits, which require you to pay a share of the cost.
Accessing Benefits
To access this benefit, simply call 24/7 live assistance (800) 922-2687 and identify yourself as a Boise State University employee. A member of the ComPsych Guidance Resources Team will connect you to a provider or resources and answer questions about their services. You and each of your immediate family members can receive up to six (6) free consultations per fiscal year. For more information, visit this website, click the “Register” button and enter “SOIEAP” for your Organization Web ID.
